abstract The electrochemical techniques for determination of oxygen ionic transport parameters, including the measurements of oxygen permeability, e.m.f. and faradaic efficiency, are briefly reviewed. The interfacial effects, such as electrode polarization, may lead to underestimating of the oxygen ion transference numbers or partial ionic conductivity. Possible modifications of the measurement methods, aimed to exclude influence of interfacial processes, are discussed.
