Graduated as the top of is class in Physics and Chemistry (2005) in Minho University (UM). Then, between 2006 and 2007, worked in UM was researcher on the projects “Organic functionalization of carbon nanofibres and study of their composites with polymer matrices” and “PARMAX – New thermoplastic based composites for highly demanding space applications”. In 2007 started is PhD at UM on functionalized carbon nanotubes for polymer based nanocomposites. Afterwards and to date took a Post-doctoral position in CICECO (Aveiro University) working in the development of:
- ceramic tiles for improving energy efficiency in buildings;
- ceramic cookware compatible with induction cooking;
- novel lightweight geopolymers for environmental remediation.
