Scientific Interests

Various fields of solid state physics and material sciences (ferroelectrics, semiconductors, ceramics, films and ferroelectric-like composites etc.),

Nano-size systems and non-linear phenomena: Nonlinear multifunctional materials and molecular nano-structures, such as, hydroxyapatite nano-structures, nanoparticles and ceramics, its surface properties with applications to the biomedicine and biotechnology;

Biological systems and bioferroelectricity - biomembranes, ion channels, etc.

Quantum chemistry and molecular modeling, computers simulation and molecular dynamics run in the various related inter-disciplinary fields (including computational materials science);

Computational modeling of molecular nanostructures and biomolecular nanomaterials, including, polymers (polymer PVDF-based ultra-thin ferroelectric films and related systems) and proteins, such as, lipids-ferroelectric thin films, amino acids and DNA nucleobases, e.g., glycine and thymine nanocrystals, di-phenylalanine and related peptides nanotubes; carbon nanotubes; hydrogen-bonded molecular ferroelectrics and related systems.
