Eduarda S. Morais is currently a PhD student in CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials in Chemical Engineering - Process and Product Engineering branch. She is working under the supervision of Professor Armando J. D. Silvestre and co-supervision of Dr. Carmen S. R. Freire and Dr. Mara G. Freire with the theme "Deep Eutectic Solvents as Efficient Media for the Extraction of Polysaccharides in Biorefinery Processes".
Her main field of research is focused in the extraction of polysaccharides from different biomass sources using deep eutectic solvents, the study of the solubilization mechanisms and application of polysaccharides in the production of biomaterials.
Born in November, 11th of 1993. She has completed her bachelors degree in Biotechnolgy in 2014 and her MSc in 2016 in Industrial Biotechnology, both done in the University of Aveiro.
