about me

Teresa Dinis holds a MSc degree in Environmental and Industrial Biotechnology. In 2017, Teresa was granted with a Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) PhD scholarship entitled “Development of ionic-liquid-based supported materials for the purification of Ribonucleic Acid (RNA)”, under the supervision of Dr. Mara G. Freire and Prof. Dr. Fani Sousa.

Since very early, I found in science a way to express my interest on the finding of new strategies to improve life’s quality for the whole community. Today, one of my main motivations as scientist is the belief that someday I will be able to create something that will improve the life quality of people, always ensuring its low environmental impact. I believe that my PhD project will contribute to the scientific advance on finding more sustainable methodologies for the processing of (new) biopharmaceuticals”.

Currently, Teresa has published 8 articles in peer-reviewed multidisciplinary high impact journals, several oral and poster communications in national and international conferences and one best poster award.
