CICECO Researchers Co-Edit Special Issue on Ferroelectrics under Light

CICECO researchers Denis Alikin, from the Department of Physics, and Ana Luísa Daniel-da-Silva, from the Department of Chemistry, are co-editing a Special Issue of the Journal of Advanced Dielectrics entitled “Ferroelectrics under Light: Photovoltaics, Photostriction, Photocatalysis and Photoelectrochemistry in Ferroelectrics.”

The Special Issue aims to bring together recent advances in the study and application of ferroelectric and polar materials under illumination. Its scope covers established topics such as photovoltaic effects and photostriction, as well as rapidly developing areas including photocatalysis and photoelectrochemistry.

Particular attention is given to the interplay between polarization, photoinduced charge generation and transport, surface and interface chemistry, and ionic processes. By connecting perspectives from physics, chemistry and materials science, the issue seeks to promote a broader understanding of light-driven phenomena in ferroelectric and polar materials and their potential applications.

Researchers working in related fields are invited to contribute original research articles and reviews.

The collection and processing of data is the responsibility of CICECO and its storage is properly protected, only authorized CICECO employees can access the information within the scope of their functions, always being clear in the respective collection forms the purposes for which they are intended. The remaining issues to be considered in this matter will be handled by the University of Aveiro in accordance with the regime established by the GDPR.
