Innovative Sensor Technology for Drone Monitoring Developed with New Partnership

The University of Aveiro (UA) and Tekever have established a strategic partnership for a project focused on developing a new intelligent sensor solution for drone monitoring. The collaboration involves the Department of Physics (DFIS) and CICECO at UA.

The main objective of the partnership is to develop and implement sensor technology to monitor various critical parameters and phenomena in long structures. This technology will also enable real-time data acquisition, contributing to enhanced operational safety and early fault detection.

The system will be validated through laboratory tests and experimental flights.

According to Carlos Marques, DFIS/CICECO, responsible for the project at UA, the partnership strengthens the university’s role at the forefront of applied research.

The remaining issues to be considered in this matter will be handled by the University of Aveiro in accordance with the regime established by the GDPR.
