CICECO participates in Blue Bioeconomy Conference at Sea Week 2025

Sea Week 2025, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Sea, launched at the University of Aveiro on November 10, featuring a comprehensive program running through November 16 in anticipation of National Sea Day celebrations.

Sónia Ventura participated in the opening public initiative of the event—the Blue Bioeconomy Conference. The session highlighted the Blue Bioeconomy Pact and its impact on the sector, as well as the University of Aveiro's active role as a key agent in developing and consolidating the blue bioeconomy in Portugal.

Strategic Focus
The conference addressed the past and present of this strategic area, with particular emphasis on its future trajectory. Discussions centered on how innovation, sustainability, and scientific knowledge will continue to serve as fundamental pillars for blue growth in Portugal.
