GREEN-X: Advancing Sustainable Polymer Innovation through Circular Feedstocks, Greener Materials, and Industrial Collaboration

Descrição

Plastics and coatings rely on fossil-based resources. At the same time, industries are under pressure to cut waste and recycle more effectively. Supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the GREEN-X project brings together top universities and companies to create greener pathways in polymer chemistry. Their aim is to convert alternative feedstocks, such as bio-refinery by-products and polyester waste, into high-value polymers and chemicals. This approach replaces fossil-based materials with sustainable options. Additionally, GREEN-X focuses on training researchers in green skills through secondments and workshops. This ensures knowledge transfer from laboratory work to industry. This joint effort aims to provide scalable bio-based materials.
