Short CV

Born in Andradas, MG, Brazil 1974, married, two sons. He received his degree in chemistry (1998) at Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Uberlândia, MG, Brazil, and MS degree (2000) and PhD degree (2004) in physical organic chemistry at Universidade de São Paulo (USP), campus São Carlos, SP, Brazil. He got a PhD probation during 4 months (2003) and a pos-doctoral position during 1 year (2005) in Grenoble-France at École Française de Papeterie et des Industries Graphiques de Grenoble (EFPG-INPG). He worked as researcher at A.W. Faber-Castell S.A. Company (2004-2008) in the R&D laboratory in São Carlos, SP, Brazil.
Scientific Interests

His interests include surface chemistry and colloids, chemical modifications of vegetal macromolecules and their applications.

Cooperation with researchers from CICECO and RAIZ.

Chemical modifications of cellulose fibers in view of their use in paper production.
