December 2008 - August 2009: Professional trainee at Centro de Biotecnologia Agrícola e Agro-Alimentar do Alentejo (CEBAL), Beja, Portugal.

September 2009 - February 2010: Research Technician at CEBAL, Beja, Portugal.

February 2010 - February 2011: Fellowship position at CEBAL, Beja, Portugal. Project “RefinOlea: Integrated valorisation of residues and by-products of olive oil” (FCOMP-01-0202-FEDER-005450).

March 2011 - February 2015: FCT-funded PhD studentship position at CICECO and Department of Chemistry, University of Aveiro (Aveiro) and CEBAL (Beja), Portugal. Project "Chemical characterization and evaluation of biological activity of Cynara cardunculus extractable compounds" (SFRH/BD/70845/2010).

January 2017 - December 2019: Post-doctoral fellowship position at CICECO and QOPNA, Department of Chemistry, University of Aveiro (Aveiro), Portugal. Project “MultiBiorefinery – Multi-purpose strategies for broadband agro-forest and fisheries byproducts valorisation: a step forward for a truly integrated biorefinery” (POCI-01-0145- FEDER-016403).

Since January 2020: Post-doctoral fellowship position at CICECO, Department of Chemistry, University of Aveiro (Aveiro), Portugal. Project "AgroForWealth - Biorefining of agricultural and forest products, by-products and wastes: integrated strategic valorisation of resources towards society wealth and sustainability" (CENTRO-01-0145-FEDER-000001).
