New method to analyse fundamental component in the fabrication of next-generation electronic circuits is unveiled.
Researchers from the Laboratorio Associado CICECO (UA) and the National Institute for Materials Science (Japan) report, in Nature Communications, how it is possible to use advanced methods of transmission electron microscopy to understand the behaviour of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) exposed to an electrical current. Characterising this behaviour will allow not only the design of more reliable nanoelectronic circuits but also the development of novel technological concepts such as the fabrication of endoscopes with minimal dimensions for use in Medicine.
