Moisés Luzia Pinto (b. 1976) obteve o doutoramento em Química (Química-Física), no final de 2005, na Universidade de Lisboa. Desenvolveu investigação de Pós-doutoramento no Centro de Química e Bioquímica da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (CQB) e no Centro de Investigação em Materiais Cerâmicos e Compósitos (CICECO) da Universidade de Aveiro. Em 2009 em estágio no laboratório de microcalorimentria de adsorção do “Instituto de Química-Física Rocasolano”, CSIC, Espanha e em 2011, no laboratório de sólidos porosos do “Institut Lavoisier Versailles”, CNRS, França. Desde 2013, é Investigador Auxiliar no CICECO, contratado no programa Investigador FCT (2013- , Eq. Inv. Aux.).

Em 2005 foi finalista do programa COHiTEC, promovido pela COTEC e lecionado pelo HiTEC center of the North Carolina State University em conjunto com a Faculdade de Economia da UNL, que incluiu o desenvolvimento de um Plano de Negócios baseado na tecnologia de produção de filtros de poliuretano com adsorventes suportados. Recebeu o segundo prémio na XXXIII Reunión Iberica de Adsorción para o melhor poster científico, em 2008. O artigo intitulado "Controlled release of therapeutic nitric oxide from nanoporous materials" foi seleccionado pelo Atomium Culture Scientific Committee, no concurso de 2011, para ser publicado pelo Permanent Platform of Atomium Culture, que envolve jornais Europeus de referência. Em 2012 recebeu o Prémio Giorgio Zgrablich pelo trabalho apresentado na 1º Simpósio Ibero-Americano sobre Adsorção.

Na sequência de um projecto, financiado pelo programa NEOTEC, baseado no seu trabalho de investigação de doutoramento, foi cofundador de uma empresa com alguns colegas e foi nomeado presidente do Conselho de Administração de 2007 a 2010. Atualmente é presidente da Mesa da Assembleia Geral de Acionistas.

Interesses científicos

MLP desenvolve trabalho de investigação na área de materiais adsorventes, nomeadamente na síntese e caracterização de materiais adsorventes e materiais compósitos adsorvente/polímero, e em separações de gases e COV. Mais recentemente, está a desenvolver investigação na área de materiais nanoporosos obtidos a partir de argilas e materiais híbridos orgânicos /inorgânicos, para purificação, armazenamento e libertação controlada de gases
