Diana  completed a BSc in Biology in 2019 at the University of Aveiro with a final classification of 15/20. During her final project, Diana Salvador investigated the effects of a porphyrinic formulation to inactivate methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus on skin, under the guidance of Professor Adelaide Almeida  and Doctor Ana Gomes. In 2021, she completed an MSc in Biotechnology at the University of Aveiro with a final classification of 19/20. Her thesis entitled "Evaluation of the cytotoxicity of hyperthermia, chemotherapy and their combined effects in human melanoma cells", was supervised by Doctor Helena Oliveira and Doctor Verónica Bastos, and obtained a classification of 20/20. During her academic path, she participated in several events that enriched her knowledge, including attending the Advanced Course on Scientific Writing and Communication. Diana Salvador is the author of three articles, two as the first author, related to hyperthermia combined with chemotherapy in cancer treatment; and the third as co-author, about antimicrobial photodynamic therapy. She is also author of two poster communications, and co-author of one proceeding paper  and of three poster communications, one of which was presented at an international meeting (17th International Congress on Photobiology / 18th Congress of the European Society for Photobiology, ESP-IUPB World Congress). Currently, Diana is a PhD student with a FCT grant and her work is entitled "Drug combination enhanced by photodynamic therapy: a targeted delivery therapeutic approach in pancreatic cancer".
