Short CV

I have about 10 years of professional experience both in the public and private sectors. My professional career has been much related with the development and support of entrepreneurial initiatives and fundraising. I'm the former Executive Director of the Technology Transfer Office of CICECO. In the beginning of 2011, I was invited by the vice-rector for research at the University of Aveiro to join an office to support researchers in the development of projects proposals to International programmes, mainly FP7. Since then, I have provided specialized support to more than 200 applications to FP7, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, and Interreg programmes, as well as promoted the development of strategic projects to the University. 

Also, since 2010 I have been invited to lecture Entrepreneurship classes (2nd semester) and Project Management and Entrepreneurship (1st semester) at the Department of Economics, Management and Industrial Engineering, University of Aveiro, where I was appointed Graduate Discipline Coordinator of the former.

In 2012 I was appointed Senior Expert within ESIC2 – Exploitation Strategy and Innovation Consultants, a framework contact funded under the thematic priority of Nanosciences, Nanotecnologies, Materials and New Production Technologies (NMP), to provide expert assistance with the exploitation of research results under NMP thematic priorities. Regarding my education, I have a PhD in Chemistry, a MBA in Management, and several long term courses on specific areas of management and economics, as well as a proficient knowledge of English.

In terms of publications, I published 6 co-authored articles in Science Citation Index journals, in addition to other co-authored pieces in both peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. In the last years I have also presented various papers at different academic venues, some of them already included in accepted special issue proposals. Other complementary activities undertook, for example, within Course Committee board of ASTP (Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals, http://www.astp.net/) include the organization of several training courses in technology transfer and entrepreneurship areas.
