Clement Sanchez

Clément Sanchez is a leading chemist, known for developing methods to synthesize materials under mild, eco-friendly conditions, often called "chimie douce." His work has made significant impacts in various fields, including hybrid materials, which are used in adsorption, catalysis, coatings, and optics.
He has published over 550 articles, delivered nearly 500 lectures worldwide, and holds 72 patents. He also developed one commercial product. Sanchez has held prestigious positions at Université Pierre et Marie Curie and the Collège de France, where he chaired the Chemistry of Hybrid Materials.
His long-standing relationship with CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials has greatly contributed to its scientific and strategic development, including integrating it into European networks and mentoring researchers.

Angus Kingon

Angus Kingon holds dual faculty positions at Brown University, USA, as a Professor of Engineering and Professor of Entrepreneurship and Organizational Studies. His research in electronic materials has led to significant advances in functional oxides for applications such as memory devices, capacitors, and sensors. With around 340 papers published and 15 patents, some of his innovations have been commercialized for use in mobile phones.
In his entrepreneurship role, Professor Kingon co-directs the Program in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship and was the founding Academic Director of the IE-Brown Executive MBA. He has developed and advised technology commercialization programs worldwide.
A valued partner of CICECO, Professor Kingon’s contributions to materials science and technology entrepreneurship have had a profound impact. His accolades include the Price Foundation Award for Innovative Entrepreneurship Educator (2006) and Fellowships in the American Ceramic Society and the Center for Innovation Management Studies.

Paula Roque

Paula Roque, Managing Partner at REVIGRÉS, holds a degree in Management and an MBA from Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. Through her guidance, REVIGRÉS has established strong collaborations with the University of Aveiro and CICECO, particularly in R&D projects, fostering innovation in ceramic materials. She is also a member of the General Councils of UA and ESTGA, reinforcing her deep ties with the academic community. Recognized as a Commander of the Order of Business Merit and winner of the BPI Businesswoman Award 2024, she co-founded Associação Mulher Líder, advocating for gender equality and leadership.
