Ana Rita Carreira

PhD Student

Short CV

Ana R. F. Carreira completed her MSc in Biochemistry - Biomolecular Methods - in 2018 at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. In 2019 she started her Ph.D. fellowship in Chemical Engineering at the University of Aveiro. Currently she is focused on the recovery of metals from wastewaters resorting to biorremediation and alternative solvents. She has a special interest in ionic liquids and the formation of aqueous biphasic systems for the extraction of metals from secondary sources.

Current research interests

Application of aqueous biphasic systems and alternative solvents for the extraction and recovery of metals from wastewaters.
