Biography

   I've a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from College of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Industrial Pharmacy, Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST) in 6th of October City, Egypt with a general grade of Excellent with Honors. I came the 2nd on my college. Also, a Master in Biotechnology (Pharmaceutical Biotechnology) from Faculty of Chemical & System Engineering, University of Chemical Technology & Metallurgy (UCTM) in Sofia, Bulgaria with a general grade of Excellent; a fully-funded scholarship from EU-Commission (Erasmus Mundus Scholarship). Further, a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) from Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University (ASU) in Cairo, Egypt.

   I have awarded "2 research fellowships"; Joint NAM S&T Centre - ICCBS Fellowship, fully-funded by NAM S&T Centre (India) and ICCBS, University of Karachi (Pakistan), in collaboration with ASRT (Egypt), for doing a research entitled "Microbial Transformation of Altrenogest and Evaluation of the Biological Activities of the Isolated Metabolites". Also, FCT Research Grant (Portugal) for doing a research entitled "NMR Study of Solid Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients". Further, "an internship" at Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Kórház és Rendelőintézet (Hungary), partially-funded by European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP).

   I have worked for some leading pharmaceutical industries in the Middle East, Africa and worldwide as SIGMA Pharmaceutical Industries as a product development senior specialist at Formulation R&D, R&D Directorate, Pharco Corporation as R&D section head, and October Pharm as R&D section head. Also, for Egyptian Armed Forces (EAF) Pharmaceutical Factory. Moreover, I have worked for October University in 6th of October City, Egypt, as a temporary teaching assistant.

   I have outstanding experience in formulating and developing different drug dosage forms using a wide variety of pharmaceutical techniques and strategies, including novel drug delivery systems (NDDs), as lipid-based technologies (liposomes, bilosomes, niosomes, transferosomes, polymerosomes, oleosomes, ethosomes and aquasomes), dispersion-based systems (polymeric micelles, microemulsions, self-emulsifying drug delivery systems (SEDDs, SmEDDs, SnEDDs) and nanoemulsions), and nanotechnology-based drug delivery (nanostructured lipidic carriers (NLCs)/solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs), nanocrytals and nanocapsules. In addition to solid dosage forms using direct compression (using conventional and novel high functionality excipients), dry-, wet- and melt granulations, solid dispersions, lyophilization/freeze-drying, pelletization and novel coating techniques. Moreover, I have good expereince in HPLC/UPLC, UV, TLC, dissolution testing, and in-vitro and ex-vivo studies.
