Welcome
Layered double hydroxides (LDH) are natural 2-D materials with the unique flexibility of chemical composition and capacity to intercalate the species, which can be different in their molecular structure, size, and charge. LDH are well-known and intensively used in catalysis and in the anion exchange applications for sorption, storage and controllable release of functional species. Recent discoveries indicate to new promising applications of LDH such as sensing, energy generation and harvesting.
The objective of this International Seminar is to present and discuss the recent progress in preparation, modification and exploitation of LDH with enhanced and/or novel functionalities.
The main topics:
- Novel approaches to preparation and modification of layered double hydroxides
- Structural ordering in layered double hydroxides
- Magnetic and other physical properties of LDH
- Novel and combined functionalities of LDH
The Seminar will provide an opportunity for researchers to meet new collaborators and develop their knowledge of the current topics.
