Scientific Interests

1.   Design, synthesis and characterization of novel coordination compounds, metal-organic framworks (MOFs) or inorganic compounds with multi-functionalities aiming at porosity, chirality, high stability, single crystal to single crystal transformation. interested in catalysis, gas adsorption, electric, magnetic and luminescent properties.
2.   New ligands design, new structure, new synthetic methodology and new functions.
3.  Morphologic modification (such as nano or micro-sized 1D fibers, tubes, rods, 2D sheets and 0D dots or balls) of inorganic or hybrid materials by hydrothermal or solvothermal reactions and study on these morphologic modifications may have influence to their physical properties.
4.   Exploration on new synthetic methods such as ionothermal synthesis and electrochemical synthesis for new MOF materials and improvement of these new strategies for finding novel (metastable) framework compounds.
