Tânia Ereira Sintra

Bolseiro de pós-Doutoramento

Short cv

Tânia E. Sintra got her MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Coimbra in 2011. By the middle of 2017 she completed her PhD in Chemistry by University of Aveiro, having during her PhD studies trainee at Faculty of Engineering of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany. Since then, she is a post-doctoral researcher at CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials, University of Aveiro. In 2018, she was awarder with a R&D project (Chiral resolution of drugs in centrifugal partition chromatography using enantioselective aqueous biphasic systems, ChiResus), from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), where she is the Principal Investigator (PI). Her last 6 years were dedicated to research on Chemistry and Pharmaceutical areas with focus on organic and analytical chemistry. During her scientific path she have contributed to the development of innovative research in the synthesis of benign ionic liquids to respond to major challenges of pharmaceutical industry, namely the separation of two enantiomers and the lack of aqueous solubility of some promising drugs. Since 2012, Tânia E. Sintra published 23 articles in international peer reviewed scientific journals, with more than 410 citation and an h-index of 11 (data obtained from Scopus at 30th July 2019), and presented several oral and poster communications in national and international conferences.
