About

Science management professional with over a decade of experience supporting research and innovation at CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials, University of Aveiro. My work mainly aim to interlink research, data, and strategic decision-making.

I am specialized in:

  • Designing and maintaining research information systems
  • Developing research metrics and analytical tools to support strategic planning and performance assessment
  • Managing research evaluation processes, as well as funding applications and reporting activities
  • Leading process optimization initiatives and problem-solving projects
  • Developing and managing digital platforms and content
  • Organizing scientific events and developing communication activities for research institutions

With a background in Biochemistry and Biotechnology, experience on applied research and methodology development, I bring a multidimensional and multidisciplinary analytical mindset to problem-solving. I’m particularly driven by the intersection of science-technology-policy, and how data-based insights can help shaping a more informed, logical and effective research environment.

Currently exploring topics in public policy, research metrics and responsible research assessments, I aim to contribute to a more open, transparent, fair, efficient, and impactful research ecosystem.
