abstract

Materials science encompasses four classes of materials, the study of each of which may be considered a separate field: metals, ceramics, polymers and composites. This volume gathers important research from around the globe in this dynamic field including research on high performance polymer electrolyte membranes; dye-sensitized solar cells; water soluble polymers for the treatment of heavy-metal water effluents and for oil and gas industry applications; polyimides for pervaporation membranes; ceramic membranes; application of ion sources; metal-oxide composite electrode film for ferroelectric film devices and the properties and applications of tungsten.
