New Molybdenum Funcionalized Hafnium-UiO-66 For Heterogeneous Catalytic Olefin Epoxidation

abstract

New molybdenum-functionalized Hf-containing UiO-66 MOFs and the zirconium counterparts, possessing different molybdenum loadings, were synthesized in a stepwise fashion, characterized by complementary techniques and investigated as olefin epoxidation catalysts, based on the model liquid phase reaction of cis-cyclooctene (Cy) with tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP). This study highlights the favorable effects of Hf-UiO-66 over Zr-UiO-66 as a crystalline support of molybdenum complexes for heterogeneous catalytic olefin epoxidation
