Synthesis and characterisation of a new vanadyl oxalatophosphate compound: (C10H10N2)[(VO)(HPO4)](2)(C2O4)

abstract

A new vanadyl oxalatophosphate compound, (C10H10N2)[(VO)(HPO4)](2)(C2O4), was synthesized via the hydrothermal approach and characterised structurally using single-crystal X-ray diffraction, FT-IR and thermogravimetric analysis. The compound has two-dimensional {[(VO)(HPO4)](2)(C2O4)}(n)(2n-) anionic layers with C10H10N22+ occupying the interlayer spaces. (c) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
