Photoluminescence of Eu3+-doped nanosized microporous titanosilicate - A structural analogue of the mineral pharmacosiderite

resumo

The nanosized microporous titanosilicate, (GTS-1), a structural analogue of the mineral pharmacosiderite, was hydrothermally synthesized and doped with Eu3+ to prepare a new photolumirfe-scent material, showing room temperature emission in the red spectral region which was assigned to the typical Eu3+ D-5(0) -> F-7(0-4) intra-4f(6) transitions. The photoluminescence features suggest the presence of at least two distinct Eu2+ local environments, which may result from the structural distortion. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V All rights reserved.
