The Department of Physics at the University of Aveiro recently hosted the 3rd Edition of the Summer School on Materials for Energy Transition from July 22 to 24, 2024. This year’s event featured a lineup of 29 posters and 13 oral presentations delivered by master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral students.

Highlighting the event, PhD student Noelle C. Zanini from CICECO and DeMAC, captured the first prize for the best poster. Her innovative project, titled "Arboris: A Hybrid Tribo-Piezoelectric for Wind Energy Harvesting," garnered significant attention and praise for its potential impact on sustainable energy solutions.

The Summer School continues to be a pivotal platform for emerging researchers in the field of energy transition, fostering knowledge exchange and showcasing groundbreaking research.
