Mariana Sardo elected as member of the AMPERE committee

Mariana Sardo, researcher at CICECO/Chemistry Department has been elected a Committee Member of the AMPERE society, joining Prof. Ana Gil (same affiliation) who is a member since 2018. The Groupement AMPERE is a scientific society founded in 1951 and located in Zurich, whose mission is to support the magnetic resonance community in Europe and the rest of the world, by means of congresses, symposia, and workshops.

Assistant Researcher in the field of solid-state NMR group at Aveiro Institute of Materials (CICECO), University of Aveiro. PhD in Raman spectroscopy applied to advanced functional materials (2009) from the University of Aveiro and post-doc at ETH-Zurich focused on solid-state NMR studies of biological systems. In 2011 returned to CICECO for a Post-doc in the solid-state NMR group.

Present Research Interests. Application of high-resolutionsolid-state NMR techniques towards the study of intermolecular interactions in small pharmaceutical molecules and porous materials (mainly for CO2 capture applications)
