  • Analytical and Environmental Chemistry with emphasis in the utilization of advanced analytical techniques for the characterization of natural organic matter in aquatic environments.
  • Comparison of structural features of natural organic matter from different environmental matrices (e.g. waters vs. atmosphere).
  • Development of expertise in the application of different sophisticated analytical techniques (One-Dimensional and Two-Dimensional NMR, FTIR-ATR, Molecular Fluorescence, and UV-Vis Spectroscopies, and Two-Dimensional Liquid Chromatography) for the structural characterization of organic matter in atmospheric aerosols and natural waters.
