abstract |
Coordination Polymer-type materials obtained from the reaction of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis[2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-(4-pyridylsulfanyl)phenyl]porphyrin (H(2)P1) and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-pyridyl)porphyrin (H(2)P2) with copper(II) and zinc(II) acetate are reported. Materials show catalytic activity for the oxidation of catechol comparable to that of the copper Porphyrin-Metal Organic Framework belonging to the same family of compounds previously reported by us. The ability of the porphyrins tetrapyrrolic core to accommodate metal ions of varying charges seems to modulate the catalytic activity. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. |
