Sónia Ventura in the extended board of the European Algae Biomass Association

Sónia Ventura, professor at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Aveiro and member of CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials, was recently integrated as a member of the extended board of the prestigious European Algal Biomass Association, EABA (European Algae Biomass Association) at the invitation of the former President and now Vice-President of the association.

Sónia Ventura, who in recent years has developed her entire scientific career in the area of Marine Biorefinery, says she was very pleased to receive the invitation to join the team of 13 members of the extended board of EABA whose duties will be to help the board to "govern" and decide the direction of EABA.

This European association, created in 2009, which currently represents 96 companies and 62 universities (including the University of Aveiro) has the role of helping to create value in the area of algal bioeconomy, creating synergies and contact between researchers and educational institutions working in the field of algae and industries, from producers to end-users associated with the sector.
