JORNADAS CICECO 2024: Bridging Research and Industry for a brighter future

The 2024 edition of CICECO Days - Aveiro Materials Institute is just around the corner, and for the first time, the event will take place at the Theater of Oliveira de Azeméis, near Aveiro North School (ESAN).

This city represents the strong interaction between CICECO researchers and the regional industrial hub, tackling innovative materials and technological challenges for global sustainable development.

This connection emphasizes this year’s theme: "Connecting minds, creating progress." The event aims to bring together industry partners, associations, technological and educational centers to address societal concerns at the core of CICECO's research mission.

The program will feature a pitch competition for students, poster presentations, lectures from distinguished guests, and a musical performance. This year’s organizing committee consists of Sónia Patrício, Sónia Ventura, and Carla Vilela.

The agenda highlights an international panel of experts with renowned backgrounds in areas aligned with the interests of both CICECO and industry. Topics will range from materials development and technological innovation to strategies and policies for sustainable development. Roundtable discussions will explore how academia and industry can work together to drive innovation, economic growth, and societal progress along green pathways.
