Inter(national) entities highlight CICECO researchers on Women's Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, several CICECO researchers have been recognized for the impact of their research and contributions to scientific development.

Mara Freire and Sónia Ventura was highlighted by the Royal Society of Chemistry, which honored her significant contributions to research in green and sustainable chemistry. The special collection brings together articles by women as first or corresponding authors published in the field in 2024 (here).

Catarina Custódio, Carla Vilela, and Andreia Sousa were invited by Ciência Viva to be featured in the 2025 edition of the book Women in Science, which showcases 107 portraits of female researchers from different generations and fields of knowledge. The book launch will take place on Saturday, March 8, at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Lisbon (here).

CICECO congratulates its researchers and takes pride in promoting an environment where men and women have access to the same opportunities.
