Nanosized photonics and magnetism in organic-inorganic hybrids

abstract

The photonic and magnetic features - at a nanometer scale - of sol-gel derived multifunctional polyether/siloxane hybrid materials incorporating lanthanide (Eu3+, Nd3+ and Er3+) and transition metal ions (Fe2+ and Fe3+) are reported and discussed.
