abstract New polymeric yttrium-succinates, Y(2)(C(4)H(4)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(4)center dot 6H(2)O and Y(2)(C(4)H(4)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(2), have been synthesized, and their structures (solved by single crystal XRD) are compared with that of Y(2)(C(4)H(4)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(2)center dot(H(2)O). Three compounds were obtained as single phases, and their thermal behaviour is described. (C) 2009 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
