Descrição
O projeto NATURAL visa o desenvolvimento de nano-argilas (LDHs) enquanto solução integradora e sustentável no ciclo do P, contribuindo para uma transição da economia linear para economia circular no que a este elemento crítico (classificado pela EU) diz respeito. Assim, serão desenvolvidas diferentes composições de LDHs para a remoção e captura de P a partir de águas eutrofizadas e reutilizar esses LDHs carregados com P como fertilizante multifuncional e sustentável. A eficiência dos LDHs na remoção de P de águas eutrofizadas e na libertação controladas de nutrientes em solos agrícolas será alvo de estudo e validação em diferentes escalas, assim como a avaliação do seu ciclo de vida (ACV) quando comparado com outros produtos e processos atualmente utilizados por esses segmentos de mercado.
O consórcio liderado pela Smallmatek em colaboração com a Universidade de Aveiro reúne todo o know-how necessário para o cumprimento das metas e objetivos traçados.
